Inspired by the beauty of women and sexual identity, I painted FruitFull in my basement studio.
Inspired by a lesbian friend who was married to a bisexual man. She became the imaginative muse. I admired her confidence, style and carefree spirit. The figure is an imagined body against a spontaneous backdrop meditation of color and motion infused with symbolic imagery of fruit. I purposefully applied a variety of skin tones to represent a diversity of race and cultural beauty.
